What I'm Reading And Thinking About
2026-02-13
Happy Friday! I’ve been a bit remiss recently in posts for my paid subscribers. While I appreciate everyone who reads my work, those of you who pay help make the time investment in writing this newsletter more viable.
The fact that anybody wants to pay me for my writing is truly an honour. Going forward, I want to provide a bit more direct value for those of you who do contribute. As such, I want to change up the reading roundups I was writing into something a bit more informal, reflecting not just the articles I’m reading but also books, other content, and things I’m thinking about right now. I hope you find it interesting, and I’d love your feedback.
And if you are a free subscriber, I won’t be changing anything about the more substantive writing. It won’t be paywalled. I don’t write this for the money (which is good - it works out to something like 20-30 cents per hour of newsletter writing in subscriber revenue 😅). Instead, I write this because I believe we need more honest, evidence-based public conversations that don’t dodge the context needed to understand our world.
Nonetheless, if you’d like to support my work, then I’d certainly appreciate it!
